Matthew continues to do well this evening. They’ve turned down some of the oscillation settings (eg, mean pressure) and his stats have been quite good. Like last time, he seems to be retaining a lot of fluid whilst on the HFO, a condition called oedema, particularly around his lower belly, groin and legs. Nothing serious, [...]
Matthew’s much improved this morning. They’ve been able to pull his oxygen down to 48%, and intend on continuing to lower it throughout today. It’s unlikely he’ll get off the HFO today, but maybe tomorrow. Matty would like to say a big hi to everyone following his progress:

Just got back from visiting Matthew and boy oh boy, was he playing up tonight. Wriggling around, knocking off all his sensors and kicking about.
